Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Spa is very nicely laid out. However, when we tried to book a treatment for Sunday morning (on Saturday), we were told it was fully booked.

Entire façade of the hotel was covered in scaffolding from top to bottom. If we had been informed of this at the time of the booking, we probably would not have stayed there or changed our stay to a different date. It severely impacted my enjoyment of the experience. Communal areas and bathroom were tired and are in need of renovation.

From the moment we arrived by car at the front entrance we were treated like VIP's.All the staff were marvellously well trained and efficient with the right degree of friendliness Also though our booking stated "inland", we requested a room with seaview and were given a lovely room at the front. As a matter of interest, you also booked us the night before at the Brighton Ramada, which was simply awful, understaffed, tired and seedy, room OK, breakfast room ghastly and buffet seriously below standard. Of course we accept that it was half the price of the Grand

It was very close to the Brighton Conference Centre-ideal for anyone attending a conference. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel staff were welcoming. The place was very clean and tidy and the rooms were comfortable. Little things like the free bottled water and the toileteries made the rooms very welcoming. The food was incredible.

I have been twice now and I must say I particularly enjoy getting up for the breakfast!

The spacious reception area and relaxing suroundings for afternoon tea.

room 215 the shower water falls on the window ledge. Perhaps it could be tilted so the water runs off the ledge.

I thought that the breakfast was of a good standard.

We thought that the hotel was a long way off being a five star hotel. in our room, for instance, we only had one chair to sit on. this is good? As we were out of the room fvor most of the time we coulcn't be bothered to complain. furniture was way past its best and was quite tacky in our view.

Hotel is close to conference centre and other amenities.

I did not care for the room i was given as the windows were frosted (probably because of the view over kitchens or service areas). The shower leaked badly and had not been serviced or inspected for some time.

Location. Very Central and convenient for shops and restaurants

The room I had was incredibly small, the decor was dated and the bathrooms poorly fitted

    staff were helpful and plesent

taps in the bathroom were very worn and the shower was in front of a window so the water went all over the window sill but odd that not a well planed out bathroom

Good welcome from the front staff- very pleasant room, got upgraded.Good meal in a rather chilly restaurant, good staff. Obviously a great location..on the beachfront, near the Lanes.

The nice room had an opaque window to shield me from I know not what!
